About Ysabella Hazan

At 19 years old, Ysabella Hazan entered her first year of law school at the University of Ottawa. Ysabella has worked at the Israeli consulate in public affairs and diplomacy. In addition to being awarded merit scholarship and dean's list 2021 semester. She worked as the Associate Director of HonestReporting in Quebec, where she works to ensure media accuracy and combat bias.

Ysabella has channelled her passion for empowering her community by co-founding and chairing both CIJA-Hillel’s and CIJPAC links student fellowships. She has been awarded the 2019 distinguished leadership award for being a leader young leader in the Montreal community. Ysabella is a proactive member of her community and is often engaged in impact-driven work as she interned at Inerjys, a clean tech venture capital firm, where she added to her experience in writing, business, negotiations, sustainability, outreach, legal research and patents.

Ysabella is well versed in Middle East conflict resolution and people diplomacy. Ysabella, founded H4H, a youth grassroots movement where, through her work as (even being recognized as Canada’s top 13 advocates), she promotes inter-community bridge building and decolonizing Jewish identity.
